CreativeTampaBay serves as a catalyst for economic and social development in the region by promoting principles of the creative economy and supporting our creative industries. We believe that business, economic development, arts/culture, social and environmental principles must work together to creative vibrant, sustainable communities. Our goal is to serve as a connector of people, ideas, experiences and places.

What are creative industries?
Creative industries engage in a range of economic activities that are concerned with the generation or exploitation of knowledge and information. These include nearly all those offering professional knowledge-based services. Broadly defined, creative industries include advertising, architecture, arts & crafts, design, fashion, film, television, music, performing arts, publishing, research, technology and software development, digital media and gaming. These and other sectors are the key drivers of economic growth in an age where ideas, creativity and innovation are the primary producers of economic differentiation and thus value. However, people can be creative in any industry.
Are you just an arts organization?
No! Although creativity certainly flourishes in the arts (and CreativeTampaBay supports that), it isn’t the only place where creativity thrives. Creatives are people who think. Creative thinking can take place anytime, anywhere, with anyone.
