Title: Leto & Blake HS Students Perform Spoken Word at Jaeb Theatre
Description: Students from Leto and Blake high schools are joining forces on Wed., Nov. 11 from 6 to 7 p.m. in TBPAC’s Jaeb Theater for a spoken word/dance/art design performance and exhibit that is free for the public. Students from Leto (who have been working with the comedian, Ranney) will be performing and showcasing their spoken word pieces and students from Blake will display their scenic design projects in the lobby that same day. It should be eye-opening! Just spoke with Ranney, who said the teens are focusing on the theme “Where I Choose to Be” and about “how they find the positives and keep themselves and each other going. It’s not all gloomy, but it also doesn’t turn a deaf ear to what going on in their community (such as violence),” he said.
